Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears have become an EPIDEMIC among young athletes between the ages of 15-20. Research has shown that up to 88% of all ACL injuries are preventable with early screening, education and a sport specific agility program that focuses on proper movement techniques and hip strength. KneeSTRONG targets young athletes participating in sports requiring change of direction movements, such as basketball, volleyball and soccer. More than 70% of all ACL injuries in female athletes are the result of non-contact activities. Movement patterning places them at a higher risk compared to their male counterparts.

Physiotherapists are known for their levels of experience in movement analysis and training. We are lifespan practitioners and experts in movement screening with the ability to diagnose faulty movement patterns and strength deficits prior to injuries occurring.
Preventive Care
We offer a 3 Part Program which includes:
- SCREENING
Schedule an appointment with one of our physiotherapists for a FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN. An evidence based movement test will be administered and scored. Total time: 15 minutes
- TRAINING PROGRAM
An individualized exercise program will be shown to you by a kinesiologist. All exercises will be sent by email with video demonstration and description
- FOLLOW-UP
Schedule a re-test in 4-6 weeks. The same FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN will be administered to monitor training progress
